TenuVault Portal User Guide

This guide provides comprehensive documentation for using the TenuVault portal's features and interface. Learn how to navigate the portal, manage tenants, monitor backups, and utilize all available features effectively.

    Browser Requirements

    For optimal experience, use:

  • Chrome 90+ (recommended)
  • Microsoft Edge 90+
  • Firefox 88+

    Dashboard

    The dashboard is your command center, providing an at-a-glance view of your entire backup infrastructure.

    Health Overview Widget

    Located at the top of the dashboard, this widget shows:

    System Status Indicators

  • Healthy: All systems operational, backups running on schedule
  • Warning: Minor issues detected, requires attention
  • Critical: Backup failures or system errors requiring immediate action

    Key Metrics

  • Total Tenants: Number of Intune tenants being backed up
  • Success Rate: Percentage of successful backups (last 30 days)
  • Storage Used: Current storage consumption across all backups
  • Last Backup: Timestamp of the most recent successful backup

    Tenant Cards

    Each managed tenant displays as a card showing:

    Card Header

  • Tenant name and logo (if configured)
  • Status indicator (Active/Inactive/Error)
  • Quick action menu (⋮)

    Backup Information

  • Next Backup: Countdown timer to next scheduled backup
  • Last Backup: Time since last successful backup
  • Backup Count: Total backups for this tenant
  • Storage Size: Space used by this tenant's backups

    Quick Actions

Hover over a tenant card to reveal:
  • Backup Now: Trigger immediate backup
  • View History: See all backups for this tenant
  • Configure: Access tenant settings
  • View Details: Detailed tenant information

    Activity Feed

    The right panel shows recent activities:

  • Backup Started: Currently running backups
  • Backup Failed: Failed backup attempts
  • User Actions: Configuration changes, restorations

    Activity Details

Each activity entry shows:
  • Timestamp (relative and absolute)
  • Tenant name
  • Action type and description
  • User who initiated (if applicable)
  • Link to detailed view

    Performance Metrics

    Bottom dashboard section displays graphs:

    Managing Tenants

    The Tenants section is where you configure and manage your Intune environments.

    Tenant List View

    Table Columns

  • Tenant Name: Display name for the tenant
  • Tenant ID: Azure AD tenant identifier
  • Status: Current operational status
  • Last Backup: Most recent backup timestamp
  • Next Backup: Scheduled backup time
  • Storage: Space used by tenant
  • Actions: Management options

    Bulk Operations

Select multiple tenants to:
  • Trigger simultaneous backups
  • Update settings in bulk
  • Export tenant configurations
  • Delete multiple tenants

    Adding a New Tenant

    Click + Add Tenant to open the configuration wizard:

    Step 1: Basic Information

  • Display Name: Friendly name for identification
  • Tenant ID: Azure AD tenant GUID
  • Description: Optional notes about the tenant
  • Tags: Labels for organization (Production, Test, etc.)

    Step 2: Authentication

  • Authentication Method:
- Managed Identity (recommended) - Service Principal - Certificate-based
  • Credentials: Based on selected method
  • Test Connection: Validate before proceeding

    Step 3: Backup Scope

Select what to include in backups:
  • Device Configuration Policies
  • Compliance Policies

    Step 4: Schedule

  • Frequency: Hourly, Daily, Weekly, Monthly
  • Time: Specific time for daily/weekly
  • Time Zone: Tenant's local timezone
  • Enable Immediately: Start backing up right away

Shows all backups with:

    Filtering Options

  • Date Range: Last 24h, 7d, 30d, custom
  • Tenant: Single or multiple selection
  • Status: Success, Failed, In Progress
  • Size: Small (<10MB), Medium, Large (>100MB)

    Sorting Options

  • Date (newest/oldest first)
  • Size (largest/smallest)
  • Duration (longest/shortest)
  • Tenant name (A-Z/Z-A)

    Click on any backup to view:
